Ripple Progress & Question

Here's the most recent picture of my cotton ripple and my progress to date....I would like your opinions though, before I go any further.
Do you think that the light yellow color which I've introduced about 10 rows back is too contrasting and takes away from the look, or should I keep going with it?

The reason I used this color so late in the game is because I'm running out of yarn and I had 2 skeins of this and wanted to use it before buying more......should I keep it or just frog and go buy more, which I intend to do anyhow because I'll need more yarn to finish this.

Lovely ripple Laura:) Great progress:) I think it would look great either way. The yellow sure draws you eye. I think you could go either way, it's just your personal preference.

Hey Laura, it is looking good! But, I think the light yellow doesn't match the hues of the other colors. Most of what you have used are bold or vivid rich colors.
I would continue with those type shades. Just my opinion of course!
JazzRizz

It definitely stands out. I guess it would be a personal preference though.

I don't know if I'd leave it in there, but either way . . . it's looking really gorgeous!

I'd love to make a cotton afghan, but I HATE working with cotton. It really dries my hands out.

You know what? To be totally honest with you.....I would just keep it going in all kinds of colors. If you add more colors like that yellow they will all go together. I think some of the nicest ghan's have been ones that have all different kinds of colors!!!
I think it looks great so far......keep us updated.

I agree with Selena and Tara on this one. It is noticeable so I don't know that I could leave it because it would bug me! However...I'd hate to frog so many rows. It's a hard call. I think the perfectionist in me would force me to take it out but that's just me. I think it will pass for a lovely ghan either way.

Laura this is an afghan I made a long time ago as you can see it is scrap yarn in many different colors. I like the look of light with all of the dark colors. It is a personal preference though.

Hey, HD, your multi-colored afghan sure is a beauty!

Thanks to everyone who responded.........I haven't worked on it since I took the picture so I'm still debating. I'm thinking it will all hinge on what colors my LYS has left in this yarn and I'll decide at that point, but I'll keep you posted. I appreciate all of your thoughts on this.
