In honor of the day I am announcing an award.
The Dogwood Award for excellence in Fiber Craft, to be precise.
Still in it’s infancy stages as of yet but here it is nonetheless.
For our first award in honor of International Crochet Day goes to Jimbo. Since he is such a great benefit to the craft.
Congrats Jim!
I will take nominations for the next award winner until noon on November 11th 2007 .
email your nomination, along with website where some of their work is shown and your reason why you think they deserve this award to dogwooddreams@gmail.com
Good luck!
Rules:
Nominees must be involved with fiber crafts. (as in knitting, crocheting, spinning, weaving, etc)
They should either have a blog, website, photo album or something like that to show their work.
Feel free to nominate yourself
There ya go! Good luck all! And Happy Crochet Day!

Ooh, that sounds like fun! I was sent an ecard to celebrate the event!
I'll be working on my dad's cardinal-ghan this evening to celebrate the day (and hopefully it will finally get me motivated to finish the dang thing.)
Jimbo is definitely deserving of the award.

How fun! I know a few people who should definitely be nominated. I'll have to give it a bit more thought before I e-mail you my vote.

you can definitely nominate more than one, as of yet after posting this all over I have received ONE nomination!
I was shocked. I figured more would jump in and nominate.
And just because someone is nominated and not picked does not mean they won't. I plan on keeping a file of all and picking some at random at various times.

Hi Kari!
I saw your award post both here and on your blog but I haven't made up my mind who I wanted to nominate. I've been mulling it over in my mind. I certainly don't feel comfortable nominating myself...I've done nothing to contribute to fiber arts.
I do think it's fitting that Jimbo got the first award!
