Slipper Swap 08Looky what I got in the mail today!!!
Beautiful Cable slippers in my favorite color, Gingerbread Spice Tea, Stitchmarkers that Tina made, And a ball of bulky blue wool!!!!! Oh Yea, A postcard from Las Vegas to add to my collection. Thank you so much Tina!!!!!

:0 That's your favorite color, too?  Yay. I was hoping it would be okay... I'm glad it got there okay, and that you like it. I wasn't sure about the tea. Half of the people in our family like it, half think it's all right....
 I had fun making your slippers, and being your swap partner.  I want to make some of those slippers for my Mom, too.

Look what I got today, now...  A box full of goodies!
TWO pairs of slippers! (One for when it's cold and one for when it's colder..) :P Two big skeins of Red Heart Strata! :0 A skein of Lion brand microstripes (?) A wooden crochet hook!!!! :0 I love it! I have never had one of these, thank you so much! A beautiful heart shaped stitch marker! And the cutest kitty card Thank you SOOOO much, Chris! I can't believe you sent me all this~ I love it all. I can't wait to wear the slippers, you do such nice work.

Is the sock slippers a pattern online? I am making slippers to send to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, these would be good for there. They look like these desert boots:http://www.knitlist.com/97gift/desertboots.htm
I will have to try them. They're so cozy, I've been wearing them all afternoon. (I forgot to mention, it's only 65 here today. ) After being cooked in the desert heat all summer, it feels cold! :P

The ones for cool weather were from here Yea, I know what you mean It's been in the upper 40's at night and the 70's during the day and I have long sleeves and my wool slippies on..
My poor wool slippies have holes in them.. Just have to make me some more. I used the Fiber Trends Felted Clogs pattern and love them... |

I thought the cold weather ones were those desert boots.  I started a pair of them last night. They're cool. And just what I need, now that we are living in the desert.

The cool weather were make with the sock yarn.. I'm going to make a pair of the sock yarn ones for the summer.To wear around the house. I need my wool ones for the winter.. Wool slippies and fleece robe..toasty....q5: |
