Square sizeOk this is a dumb question but I am working on an afghan for Rachel. I want to know how to measure the squares. If it's an 8 inch square do you measure the edges to see if they are 8 inches or do you measure the center diagonal to find the size? Thanks for any help. I want to make sure I am doing it right.

I measure from top to bottom and right to left to make sure all sides are the same.

On squares if the size is going to be slightly bigger, I just edge in sc insted of whatever stich is called for. If it is slightly too little I double crochet on the edges until I get to the right size. I'm not all that great on gauge either!
