Washington State Here!I'm in the Southeast corner of Washington State, only 25 miles from the Oregon border. We're considered to be in the desert, even though we have 3 rivers here, the Yakima and Snake rivers run into the mighty Columbia not far from me. We get lots and lots of high wind. It's not unusual to get gusts of over 50 mph here.
We get all kinds of weather here, from 110 degree days in the summer to -15 in the winter. Normally we don't get much snow, but when we do watch out. The roads get really ugly fast. It's a good time to stay in and crochet.
Our biggest annual event is the Unlimited Hydroplanes held the end of July. It's a whole week of events leading up to the boats racing on Friday-Sunday. Does anyone else out there have the big boats come to their city?
