Hello!

It's good to be back here!

I have a knitted afghan on needles and a star crocheted afghan on hook. Also have a crochet dog sweater almost done and a knitted dog sweater halfway done.

How is everyone else doing? (It's going to take me awhile to CUOP.) Our internet service provider finally realized it was THEIR fault that I could not get to this website. They finally fixed it today.

It is sooo good to see that you finally made it back in here girl, I know you have been patiently waiting.

I have learned to knit since you been gone, it is a lot of fun now. At first it was a frustrating pain

I have a baby blanket on my needles, and a washcloth also on the needle.

I am thinking about maybe crocheting a baby blanket too for Ashley (my boys best friends wife, they are due their first baby in the fall)

Welcome back Suzee, so nice to see you back. Glad that you got your internet problems figured out.
I am still working on the baby set. I have the little jacket done and am working on the booties now. Yeah go me, lol.

Hook - Big D's blanket which I would sooner not pick up again..Boring.......

need to get it done..
I have some yarn waiting for 2 more afghan so I need to pick it up again cos' I can't start any others til I get it done..

Hi Suzee! I am glad you got on here again. I cannot get on certain sites, on AOL it is frustrating...

This week I still haven't started that second sock back up (I found a missing purl and ripped it all out). Guess I am still irritated.

I have been making dishcloths and cat toys.

Don't ask me why, when we don't even have a cat anymore.

My husband asked me 'why are you making those?'

I said 'For when you get me a cat'

I have to give him a hard time... So far I have made two catnip mice, and a fishy. I was going to send them in with some scrap yarn to someone on another board. She takes things to the animal hospital. That's about all I have been working on. I should probably cast on for that second sock or his feet will grow another inch then they will be too small. (sigh)

Mom w/a Motif

Just for something to do, I thought I would post a picture of our old (Queen) kitty, Mercedes. We called her 'Mert' (cuz our youngest at the time couldn't say Mercedes, he would say 'mert'...), and 'Mer-kitty'. She was the best cat. Here she is on (what she thought was) her throne:

I miss her.

We had her since she was a kitten. (My Mom's cat kept getting out of the house & pregnant....) we had other cats that we didn't keep for long (one was a second kitten from one of the five or six litters from Heather, my Mom's cat). The second cat we got was Oreo he was a big dummy. He kept peeing on the carpet and then Mert would pee on top of his pee..... Ugh... That was why we had to get rid of them. We tore up the carpet and replaced the floorboard (well not *we*, but my husband....) And he said 'they're not going to pee on the new carpet.' I think Mercedes would have been okay if we hadn't gotten any other cats. Anyway. Just thought I'd share a story of my old kitty. (That is why I have to give my husband a hard time over the cat thing, btw...) ;P

Awwww, she is so pretty, I can tell she was spoiled rotten.
I can see why you miss her so much. Our Miss Kitty has been with us going on 8 years now (since she was a kitten) and she can be a regular pain in the behiney sometimes, but I can't see us without her.

I know how you have got to be feeling. They sure do have a way of stealing our hearts.

Working on crochet top, and haven't been working my other UFOs. Bad on me! But, I have been busy doing drive time with my boys. The school is escalating Son#1's end time because he is such a good driver!(I have some opinions on that, but won't burst his bubble yet! )

Suzee, glad to see you back! Missed you and I think it great you are finally able to get on the board!
