WIP Wednesday thread for JulyHey Everybody!
It's WIP Wednesday once again!
Remember, you are more than welcome to use the CrochetMania WIP Wednesday Blinkie.
Just be sure to download it to your computer and upload it to your own photo host.
Go ahead and link the blinkie to the WIPS forum:

...instead of the thread since it will be changing monthly. K?
So...what are ya'll up to these days?
Me? I've been working on some super-y duper-y top secret goodies
for my swaps so I can't really share any crochet pics at the moment.
So sorry. My cat graph ghan is still on hold for a while as are my never
ending UFO's.
I'd love to see what you are working on. Progress pics anyone?

Well I finished the star rug for my daughter. I don't like how it's turned out. It won't lay flat:( It's really puckered in the middle. So I am really sad at how it worked out. LOL but I am happy as she took it to bed with her last night:)
Otherwise I am working on my Christmas in July exchange goodies too:) So no pics until after they are received:)

I am working on a Mile-A-Minute afghan for a lady at my church. She was cleaning out her attic, and she found an afghan she had started years ago. She no longer crochets, so she asked me if I would finish it. I ended up having to frog most of her work (it was too short), but hopefully she'll like the end result.
The batteries died in my camera, so I can't post a picture, but I'll try to take one later this week.

Let's see, I actually finished a doily last night!!!!!! Yes, that's right, FINISHED!!!!! Hmmm....i think a swap partner might finally get her doily! heheheh
I have to go to work on my aunts afghan that has been sitting on the couch staring at me for months now. It's for her wedding which is July 23rd. Thankfully I don't have to finish it by then cuz I'm sending it to her house and she's on honeymoon for 2 weeks. hehehehehe

I am working on charity squares, just finished two tunisian pillow covers, can't decide if I want to edge them with an accent color yet.

I'm still working along on my Mission Falls cotton ripple and the reason I'm not making more progress is TOO MANY WIPS in various degrees of finishing! I think I need to prioritize at least 2 (I couldn't stand working on just ONE thing at a time) and finish those, then move on. Anyone else have this problem?

Oh Laura, the ripple WIP is gorgeous! I know there are others who have multiple projects, but I just can't have a bunch, maybe one or two tops!

Laura, the Ripple. I want to make a cotton afghan. I need just a cover-up at night watching TV in the summer when the air is on..
I did have alot of WIP's but now try to make it 2 or 3 at a time.. Don't start anything new till one of those is finished..

Laura...I just love the colors on that!!
Miss Kitty........I never thought of making a cotton ghan for the summer...My feet especially get cold with the a/c on....does cotton work for the summer a/c season? Because acrylic is just too 'hot'.

I thought that a cotton one would work. I have a cotton blanket on the bed for the summer and I love it..

My WIP report is . . .
(Knit) Potatomaus Sock (1 of 2 complete) almost to heel flap on 2nd sock
(Knit) MS3 Stole . . . 1/2 through Clue 4.
(Crochet) Sweetheart Ripple . . . Just about through 2nd of 4 skeins.
(Crochet) Graphghan . . . *sigh* I can't remember the last time I picked this up to work on it . . which is not great news, as my dad's birthday is this Saturday . . . looks like it's shaping up to be a Christmas gift (again).

Thanks so much for the nice comments on my cotton ripple. You know, Lisa, I didn't think a cotton afghan would work either but this yarn (1824 Mission Falls) is so lightweight and yet very soft which many cottons are not.
Miss Kitty, a cotton lapghan would be great for the air conditioning in the summer time.....it's lightweight and somewhat warm but it breathes which acrylic doesn't.
So sorry to be such a shameless enabler here, but what can I say?

I can't believe how I've been missing this thread! I've also been forgetful on Wednesday's! I'm so sorry I've been AWOL!
Thanks so much for sharing your WIP's. I especially love the pics!
I really like the idea about crocheting a cotton afghan for the summer! I've made a few cotton baby afghans but not one for me. I think I need one but I will not start one until I finish up a few WIP's.
I'm going to start an August WIP's thread now so we don't have to wade through so many posts.
