Yarn review: Bernat CottontotsI bought a bag full of skeins of this a few years ago, thinking to make a throw, and have yet to find what I want to make with it.
I bought it at Michael's, and have seen it at JoAnn's as well.
Cottontots is 100% cotton and is a bit textured, a sort of spiral, wave texture.
The label reads: machine washable and dryable
4 ounces
worsted, size 4
Crochet hook size: 4.5mm. size 7
Knitting needle size: 4.5mm, size 7
Made in Canada
I've tried this for potholders and due to the textured wave, there are thin spots which is too dangerous for potholders.
I tried beginning a lap robe for it, but the cotton is too heavy for the person intended.
As is depicted on the label, baby items would be a good use. The cotton would be good for anyone with sensitive skin or allergies, as well.
Here's a link to the Cottontots page at Bernat:

It comes in some nice colors, not just for babies. Nice variegated ones, too.

I have some of that yarn and I made a washcloth out of it last night.
It is so nice for that. The cloth is thick and so soft textured, I hope
this mommy to be that I made it for will like it

Kahud, I'm glad you were able to use it for baby things. I'm still trying to find the right project for mine.

I thought the same thing about using it for potholders. I also noticed that there is a little more shedding with it.

Tamking, that's good to know. I'm still trying to decide what to do with this yarn.
