Yarn Review: Ella Rae Classic Superwash WoolI bought some of this for a helmet liner project a LYS is involved in. The pattern called for Cascade Superwash, but The Woolie Ewe in Plano, TX carries Ella Rae in the superwash. So, I bought two skeins of it.I was able to make a helmet liner with less than one ball. Here's an online picture of the yarn.

Ella Rae Classic Superwash
Made in Turkey
Fiber: 100%
Wool Yardage: 220 Stitches: 5
Needle size: 6-7
Ball weight: 100g/219 yds, 200 cm
Gauge: 20sts/24 rows over 10cm
Care: Machine washable, no bleach, can dry clean, use warm iron, dry flat
The yarn is a a little rough, but for 100% wool, it wasn't as rough as Lion Wool. The dye was consistent and rich in color. When I frogged( a bunch!) it held together and did not look beat up or anything. The FO turned out pretty soft to the touch. I have not washed it yet, so when I do, I will report!
Would I buy this yarn again? Not for a big project as it was $9.50 a ball.
The superwash does run quite a bit higher. But for the quality, yes.

Thanks much for the review. I hope it holds up to washing and perspiration. I know some of the fellows end up with fabric dye on their skin from bandanas.
At that price, I agree, for small and special projects.
