well, i kinda sorta followed your directions for round 2 and 3, it looks just fine and I have the right amount of stitches, although I'm sure that I kinda fudged it. that's a hard thing to write out that way.

Yes, it was.......I wrote it a time or 3 and could not get it to show
just which st.
So, when I just told folks to do in the next st, it worked
That way they could not miss on getting the little group of stitches
(all) in between the sl st's......hince sl sting in the sl stich of Rnd before.

This is the best I think I could write this.

What do you all think?

Should I also put a pic here as well with the pattern?

I agree with Trish. For the most part mine looks right, I hope. I didn't notice if you have it classified yet but I would classify it as at least intermediate.

Oh Trish, it's beautiful.
You can not imagine the joy that I get when ever I see someone
do a pattern that I have designed. It is such a feeling I can't begin to describe it.

I am in the process of re writting the pattern from start to finish so it will be
a lot easier for folks to understand. What would I classify this one as? To me it is easy
stitches and all, but Lisa said that it should be intermediate.....how do I figure such
as this out you guys whenever I am doing up a pattern?
(Doing up the written pattern),
This is the part I have to really learn now......I can crochet up many unique things like this,
and have in the past, but just never have written them down.
This part is very new to me, but I will get there.

Its beautiful Trish, you made me tear up here when I saw it ..... you made my work
come to life
Thank you so much for being one of the testers girl

I know, I know......silly old mushy gushy over here

Thanks Lisa and Trish on the skill level classify the pattern part.
I think I understand what you are saying ....... even though
it is fairly easy, it's the multiple stitches and the front and back
working of the square.

Got it

This pattern will be classified as follows:

Skill Level: Intermediate

Thanks guys

I meant to say too..

I used an I TOTC hook
The red is Red Heart Super Saver
the blues is Red Heart Super Saver in Shaded Dusk

My finished size was 12x12, I did not need to do an extra round after round 10

Kathy, I have a question about round 7....the first corner is worked (according to the pattern) with trcr's and the next corners are done with dtrcr's..... is this a typo? I'm going to do it with trcr's because that's what you said first. Hope that's right

I wrote triples for these corners because I wanted to break down on
the height and
make ready the next rnd for the dtr's that would drop down
and be worked in the round below.
The dtr would tend be to high for the next rnd,
so I wrote rnd 7 in triples for for the corners.

Here it is. I like it a lot. I wish I would have reversed the colors though and had the dark as the main and border color. Maybe when you list the materials you can say something like color A dark, color B contrast...just a suggestion. I sitll like the way it turned out.
I did not have to do any extra rows. Used a J hook (seems to be the hook I need to get 12" for some reason). Used RH yarn.
Nice job Kath!!

Thank you Lisa, that turned out beautiful

Yes, the lighter color as your starting color sets it off more.

That turned out beautiful Lisa, you did awesome on that, perfectly squared.
That is very pretty though with the light color on the
outside rnd to, very nice.

You and Trish both did great on it.........even though I did kind of goof
in writting up the pattern

What part if any of the pattern (other than my few goofs) did you
have any probs with that I might need to redo?
