Tara said she had been going around all day
calling it "Spiro Mania"

I like it

What do you think guys?

That's pretty angelfire, and thank you for testing it.
It looks so warm in those colors. That would make a nice afghan for
the Fall.
Did you have any trouble with reading and understanding the pattern?
Do I need to make any changes in it anywhere?

the only issues I found were the ones you already posted. It worked up quickly and easily. I actually had a good time going it as it is really quick and the last four corners add an interesting touch to it. Thank you for allowing me to test it. I like the name Spiromania.

Got the pattern, am working on it. However, excuse this ignorance,
how do you join with a sc? I have messed with it and I just can't figure it
out. So, I slip stiched then sc. It looks ok, but if there is a technique
I don't know, clue me in.

You are not ingnorant girl
and Its not hard at all.
You are just basically making your st, 1 sc high
Instead of one loop laying flat to your work, you are
making one sc that stands a sc high,

Here you go, and I am sorry the pics are a tad big
but wanted you to be able to see it good
(and the fact that I can not get my photobucket to make them
some smaller)

Make your slip knot, Insert hook into designated stitch

Yo and draw up a loop

Yo and draw through both loops on hook-----You have now joined with a sc

I did the same thing as you! I'm so use to slip st, chain 1, sc . . .

Thank you for the tutorial Kathy! I just learned something new!!

I'm ALMOST done with this square. Just the corners to go yet. I would've been finished last night, except I misread 2 rounds that I needed to redo .

Great you guys,
I am glad I could help show you how to do this stitch

One more little tip

Insert hook into designated st, Yo and draw up a loop.
Now, lay your end yarn over top of your working yarn,
Yo (your working yarn over top of the end yarn)
and draw thru both loops on hook. This is the easiest
way to weave in this end piece (crochet in as you go )

Your end piece After you have made two more sc st's

Ok, I got my testing square done. Here is a pic:

I used a light purple and a dark purple for contrast. The details are
hard to see, I haven't figured out the fine points of editing with my
new camera yet! LOL!

Thanks for letting me test. This is a good pattern if you have some
scrap yarn, because it really doesn't take all that much yarn to
complete the square.

That's very pretty colors Selena, very nice.
Thanks for testing this one for me.
Did you have any troubles with this one anywhere
that I might need to rewrite any?

Very pretty, both of your squares are so nicely done,
and the colors are so different..........but the pattern
stands out beautifully in each one.................
You two did an awesome job on this pattern................

Maybe I am finally learning just how to write one so
folks can understand them (my hen scratchins, LOL)

Thanks you two,
I am so glad that you wanted to test this one.
And it is a good pattern for not much yarn like Selena said,
and I had not thought about it, but it would be a good one
for using up your scraps

I can't wait to see what colors the others have used in theirs
