If you'd like to crochet a quilt of
your own then this is the CAL for you.
After all, who doesn't love the look of
a beautiful handmade quilt?
If you'd like to check out some patterns
you can look here:
Happy Yellow House (lots of different styles/patterns)
Nine patch Afghan
Star Bright Afghan
I know there are many other links. I'll add more
as I find them.
If you decide to join please let us know which
afghan you decided to make. I think it will be fun
to see everyone's quilts come together.
Oh, and don't worry about a time limit.
Most quilts take awhile to put together.
The important thing is to choose a
pattern that you love and have fun with it!

OMG, that was fast for a CAL decision! I think I would like to
try this. However, I need a few days to peruse patterns and check supplies. |

There was so much interest in this
CAL that I decided to go ahead and
start it. I figured folks would join in
when they could. Hopefully this CAL
will go on for awhile, and we will get
to see lots of pretty quilts.
I want to make this quilt. It's a scrap
'ghan and a quilt all rolled into one. |

Hubby wants me to make a new blanket for our bed anyway....I can kill 2 birds with one stone here!! |

I've managed to make 40 squares (3 1/2 in.)
so far. They are quick to make, and I'm weaving
the ends in as I finish them. So far, so good! |

Miss Kitty where did you find a Texas Star patterns?
Veronica, that quilt site has some gorgeous patterns!
I still can't decide, but I am thinking I need to do a baby size
so I don't get overwhelmed with the project. |

That is a really good idea. I have a couple of
baby blankets that I need to make. If my first
quilt doesn't drive me bonkers I might make a
baby quilt next. |

Has anyone had a chance to start their quilt yet?
My curiosity always gets the best of me. I can't
wait to see what you're working on!
I've made about 15 more squares. I'm going to
try to get my first block sewn together this
weekend. |

There's no rush. Like I said, I'm just
a curious gal. One of the fun parts
of a CAL is each person being able to
work at the pace that they're comfortable
with.
Hope you had fun at your show! |

I haven't even decided on a pattern yet. I got carried away looking
at quilt patterns and now I am thinking I maybe ought to start
with a pillow!
