Miss Kitty . . . . I can't wait to see how your Betty Boop afghan turns out. It sounds adorable.
I think I've finally managed to get off my duff & make some headway on my Cardinal-ghan. I'm just about to the beak. This is going to be my make-or-break project until it's finished! I have got to wrap this one up.
I can honestly say this is my oldest UFO ever! (Not counting my pinwheel afghan - that one's in hibernation).
I had planned on working on the 8" squares for Kathy this weekend, but I got into a groove on the afghan . . . Hopefully, I'll be able to work on some squares next weekend.

It's growing..
I've got about 14 inches done on mine.. I did 2 inches blue, 2 inches grey, 2 inches blue, then I have 8 inches of white so far. Getting boring just doing solid colors....
Yesterday I worked in my craft-room but I'll be working on the afghan today.. |

Have to do some work later so I need to switch computers, then I'll add a picture...

Here's my progess so far . . . except I finished the bird's head last night.
28 rows of solid white yet to go. Still pondering whether it needs a border or not. Maybe red? It's going to depend on the final size . . .
My Dad's 6'4", so I'm thinking it's going to need a substantial border.
*sigh* I'm beginning to think this is the never-ending afghan!
Miss Kitty . . . I can't wait to see Betty all finished. |

By hand??? YEP.
Afghan stitch . . . size G Hook (no cable . . . straight hook) . . . It's taking me FOREVER to finish this thing, but it is so worth each and every, teeny-tiny stitch.
I can honestly say if I ever make another one of these . . . it'll be with a bigger hook and a cable (like Miss Kitty's using). |

The Charted part is FINISHED!!!
I'm working on a red border (which seems to be taking about as long as the charted part).
Hopefully . . . I'll have this finished BEFORE Christmas. |
