These are beautiful lady's.

What is the difference Tara and Miss Kitty in how you two make them?
I have never did a graph before.

And can you get the curl out of the afghan st? I never completed anything in that st because it always curls up on me when I make it.

Ahhh, I had read this that Tara wrote that she would do like you did next time she made one: "hook and a cable (like Miss Kitty's using)".

So I thought it was crocheted different somehow

She is just using the regular afghan hook.. I'm using the short afghan hook that has a cable on the end of it.. Not so heavy and goes alot faster.

I bet this would work real good...
I have kind of rigged these hooks up my own way
I just cut me a looooong length of 100% cotton yarn and loop it
thru the hole in the end of these hooks and then tape it down good
and snug

I did this scarf last year with this one in an all knit stitch. The cotton is
pulled thru the loops as you go, acting like your second needle holding the stitch for you

All I would have to do for this would be the afghan stitch.
It should work.

Do you think this would work as good Miss Kitty? It's basically
the same thing pretty much.

" The Amazing Needle:
This is *NOT* afghan, tunisian, crochet on the double, etc. You are actually knitting conventional knit sts. with a crochet hook. Many find it less stressful than working with two knitting needles. Uses a crochet hook with a hole in the end and a cord threaded through the hole. As you knit, the sts. are held on the cord and with the crochet hook you are knitting sts. from the cord on subsequent rows. Think of the cord as the left hand needle in conventional knitting."

That's what they had on the site. The graph that we are doing is afghan or tunisian crochet..
I have one of those amazing needles.. Or should say that my Mom had one. When I found it I thought what the *--* do you do with this.. Someone at the ville was asking about them that's when I found out what it was.. Never tried it yet..

Pretty scarf..

I hope so!!!

My aunt side-tracked me for a week though.  She's putting baskets together for her girlfriends & wanted me to knit her 8 dish cloths to go in them, so I've been working on those (and finally mailed them yesterday).

I've got the bottom border finished & I'm 1/2 way through with the top border.  Then, all I'll have is the right & left borders to finish.  Which should go faster, as it's only 20 stitches per row, instead of 178!

It'll probably be VERY close, but I think I'll make it.  I've got a 16 hr drive to help if I need it though .  Not to mention a week of visiting if I really needed the extra time.

One way or another . . . this is going to be his Christmas present this year!
