I was able to finish up round 7 last night before I had to stop and take care of my sick husband. Nothing like a stomach bug to turn a grown man into a kid. I should be able to finish the square up this afternoon. So far it looks very pretty!

Here is my finished square. I took two pictures so you could see it against two different backgrounds. I wasn't sure which one would show up better.

It's a very pretty square. Thanks for letting me test for you!

Here's my square...

Heck, I didn't think to do this in fall colors, Kathy. I just figured I would make it in a happy pink for Lisa's neighbor.

The only problem I had, which is a problem I have will all patterns so it is MY problem not the designers, is my square came out to only 11 inches. I'm gonna have to put another row on it for Lisa but I took a pic of it like it was supposed to be first. I crocheted real loose knowing I have this problem, too. On most patterns I usually go up a couple of hooks sizes but I never go past the K hook. I tried to go one up on this but it made my square way too big! (Different type of hook and it's acrylic so I don't work well with those.)

Anyhow....I love this square and you caught that you had left out info on the magic adjustable ring. I see you caught the typo too. Good girl!

Great job, Kathy! I can't wait to see the whole line!

Now on to the next square...it's gonna be pink too!

Ahhhhhh, you guys, those turned out so pretty. I love those colors that you two choose Gina and Vern, they sure did turn out really pretty. Those for the ghan that Lisa is doing for that lady are very bright and cheery, she will love them.
I thank all of you so much for working this pattern for me. I am getting better with each new one I write up on clearer instructions.
I am glad it was easy for you all to read this one...........I know my first few patterns where a bit much written in them when I didn't need to.

Lisa, what color is yours done in?
Did you do this one in Jewel Box too? Very pretty color..............
and a good job everyone, I thank you all so much for testing these for me

Hope you can do the next ones I got coming, as I get them written

Thanks everyone they all look so nice and such pretty color combos.

OOOOPSSS! I almost for got to ask.
Did the larger hook (size K or J) make the Red Heart (if thats the yarn you used) have a lighter weight, softer feel to it?

This is what I am striving for in these I am working on now......
to have a few squares done in 9 Rnds with the J or K hooks
to make them feel softer and work up much quicker than most squares
do.

Let me know how it did on your squares, if they have that lighter weight softer feel.

Thanks again you all for working these for me, I really do appreciate it

Thank you Vern for testing it for me.
I just had to tell you that these two colors work so good together.........and what they made me think of when I first saw your squares.
You can ask Lisa, I am an ice cream nut......I got to have that bowl of ice cream every night...........these two colors brought to mind neapolitan ice cream

Beautiful color combo Vern, very pretty.

Oops, looks like I missed out testing this one! Don't know how I missed this post.

All of the testers squares turned out amazing! Great job girls.

Gina ~ I have the same problem, but I've found going up a hook size usually helps. I tend to crochet on the tight side.

Kathy, I used RH Copper.
I also had to do an extra row to make mine 12"....I did a row of hdc around the outside to make it the right size.

I do have that problem a lot though too. So I would maybe put in an optional row 10 for those like me and Gina.

Thank you! That's what I was thinking of when I worked on this square, too. I'm not a big ice cream eater, but when I do have a scoop its either chocolate or strawberry.

Thanks so much for letting me test. It was a lot of fun.

Thanks everyone, I will add that optional last two rnds to be done in the same st (sc, hdc or dc) to get the 12" size.

I do tend to crochet loose which is a good thing on most projects.

I will also do up a 2 or 3 Rnd Gauge measure.........so you can get the
size hook that works best for you

Thank you everyone for testing my squares for me
and helping me to get the patterns just right
Your work looks so nice
