Here is mine:
Just a couple of suggestions~ Round 1: When you have ch6 ( counts as center st & tr) Maybe put ch6, 5th chain from hook, 1tr,ch 1 etc... then say chain 5 counts as 1 tr..
Row 6: are you to sl st to corner? |

Got cha,
On Rnd 1, what I was trying to get across was the fact that you had the center ch (not counting as your tr in any way). You would then count up in the second Rnd like in any other pattern. I will have to re write that. Thanks for seeing it, I do need to correct it.
Slip Stitch Into Corner
That looks nice Miss Kitty,
thank you for testing for me
What stitch did you do Rnd 9 in? Lisa did sc in her Rnd 9 (she used the Jewel Box yarn) for the 12" measure.
What is that color you used? And Brand of yarn?
(6)
Ch 3, dc, ch 2, 2 dc, (beg corner),
dc in each st around and dc in each ch 1 sp around (24 dc per side),
and work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in your other 3 corners.
join with a sl st in top of ch 3, sl st in next st,
sl st into corner sp.
(96 dc, 4 ch 2 sp) |

I finished mine up last night, but it was way too dark to take pictures.
I'll try to get one up here this afternoon. I loved the pattern!
I used Red Heart yarn. |

I lost my loft bed in the craft room. So I lost my yarn stash hiding place[ had a nice closet spot in the back under the top bunk]. And you would not believe the yarn that I had stashed back there!!!!!!! I have it all piled up on the queen bed in the spare room..
Anywho, you were asking about the yarn.. Got a little side tracked..
It's Red Heart~ Hot Red.. The only red I could find digging though the mountain of yarn...I used the dc around the edge. I used a J hook, my mistake should have used a bigger hook.. I always need to go to either 1 or 2 size bigger hook to get the gauge.. I ended up just short of 12". |

Kathy,
So, you're designing these squares? I absolutely love this one and would be happy to test one for you if you still need testers. If not, I'll keep my eyes open for future testing.

Hi Kathy & All,
Okay, here it is and I think that maybe I got the first round confused because it doesn't look like all of yours? I chained 4 and then worked all 4 rnds into the beg chain.....was this correct? Also, my camera has this film-y thing going on and I don't know what's causing it so the picture isn't as crystal clear as it could have been.
I'm sorry I didn't use a red color but didn't really take notice of that on the instuctions in my haste to start crocheting!
I used a size I hook thinking that a J wouldn't look good with this yarn but when finished and measured it is approximately 11-1/2" so perhaps I could have used a J and sc rnd 9? I did dc on round 9 knowing that for my square it had to measure larger with the last row completed.
I used Peaches & Cream cotton in a peach (of course, LOL) and off white color and now I realize that it would have been easier to work up in a worsted blend or acrylic rather than cotton.
There you have it Kathy, so give me your thoughts and don't hold back....I can take it.
Cheers, Laura |

I really enjoyed working this one up. It fell into place for me well. I have trouble reading patterns sometimes and have to rip a lot but not with this one. Loved it:)
