| I was always afraid to try Thread...I don't know why I know it can't bite me but never the less still afraid. I finally broke free from the phobia and am loving it. No wonder why my granny loved working with thread!!!! She loved to do pineapple bedspreads & doily's and now I do as well. Just my input. :D Laura |

| So glad you got over your phobia of thread. It's a wonderful medium. It has always been my favorite. Very happy you are enjoying yourself. |

| Thanks and I'm glad I did to Kathy. It does up so well and what I like most about is that being in a hot state I can crochet my little heart out and not have to worry about melting from do afghans...I save those for winter. Laura |

I love working with thread. it's a nice change from the yarn. I switch back and forth. Usually have one or two or three... of each going at a time. Hehehe I get bored easily. LOL
I wish more people appreciated the thread work though. |

I must admit that I didn't appreciate it until I started working with thread more. Now I about fall over myself when I see a beautiful doily, tablecloth or other thread piece. :) |

Hey, you got that right! When it's 100 outside, thread projects can still be worked! |

| It's true alot of people don't appreciate the work that goes into threadies and it's a shame. There is alot of love and stitches in each piece. That's the good thing about when it's 100 & over I can still enjoy my sanity (crocheting with thread) I'm glad to see how y'all feel about thread. Oh by the way...my Daughter in GA. called me this morning...she bought some #10 thread and a size 7 boye hook...she said she was going to give it a try!!!! eeeeeehawwwwww!!!! If she likes it I'll send her a set of hooks. Laura |

| Hi Laura! I'm glad to see another threadie. I learned to crochet using thread because that is what is readily available here in Manila. Wait till you see Kathy's (Katchkan) awesome creations.......she's the thread and bead queen here and I'm her greatest fan! |

| Hello Jackie...Nice to meet you. I was looking around at your things and you do great work yourself. I did indian beaded earrings for about a year. Sold alot of them at craft shows...I got burned out cuz it took the joy out of making them when I was mass producing...it also took time away from my crocheting. Will be on the look out for Kathy's things...thanks for letting me know. Laura |

Thought I'd jump in and say that I am a big fan of Kathy's also, having tested for her I find that I aspire to her creativity. Thread is so portable you can take in almost anywhere.

I keep saying I'm going to try a doily. I even bought a bunch of thread off of ebay. Where is it? Still sitting in a box that it came in.
I'll get to it......really!!

Hi guys, Thought I'd jump in and let you know I love thread too. I alternate back and forth between yarn and thread. I just started a thread christening gown last night, my first really big thread project. I'm thinking of trying to suppliment the pocketbook by selling some "heirloom" baby items online. Hubby took a huge paycut recently and OUCH things are getting really tight. Wish me luck. If you happen to come across any good patterns for keepsake items made from thread, please drop me an email. I would really really appreciate the help!
Usually I just do ornaments and doilies. What I like about thread is that is so dainty and delicate looking. It's like making your own lace. I am always amazed at what a simple hook and a bit of thread can become. When I get the gown farther along, I'll try posting a photo to show you all and get some feed back. Time to get back to my hook.
Hugs,
Lynne
