Crochetmama

I only learned how to crochet six years ago. Then three years ago, I
decided I would spend an entire year only crocheting with thread. It was
one of the best years of my life! I'm using yarns right now, but I think
that I want to have another thread-only year. I believe that it's truly my
passion. I especially love using colors and making flowers in thread. My
husband can't understand why I need to have that particular
shade of lilac or coral or green or whatever color!

I didn't appreciate crochet at all until I started six years ago. I especially
didn't appreciate thread work either. Now I love to go into antique stores
and look at old vintage crochet work.

I have tried the thread but still have some
trouble with it. I am not so good at it, I think
that I may be crocheting to loose. I always
have with the yarns, that is probably the reason.
I think that after we get this place running itself
some, so's to speak, that I am going to try and
work with the threads again. They make some
gorgeous things, that's for sure.

I love to do my thread work. Doilies are my fav. I tend to do alot of them or book markers. I take my thread work with me everywhere. It is so easy to take along. Here in Arizona it is hot to tote an afghan around with ya.

For those that know me, thread is my passion!! Occasionally it's "fingerling yarn" for a new-born project; or an afghan for someone....but I'm always back to doilies!! I want to make them all!!!
