Mine's growing.

Yours is turning out gorgeous Shelle!

This weekend was pretty smooth sailing on the Shawl.  I've got a stitch marker at the peak & I'm double checking every time I get to it to make sure I do the increases.  Thankfully, it's starting to get pretty big, so the increases aren't happening all that fast now.  It's pretty close in size to Shelle's 2nd picture.

I didn't have time to get a picture taken this weekend . . . if it isn't totally gloomy this afternoon, I'll try to get a picture taken.

Thanks! I really like this yarn - Moda Dea Tweedle Dee in the color Cinnamon Twist.  It's going to be really warm, but it's not heavy at all. I bought 8 skeins, but I think maybe 6 would've been enough. I guess I could keep going & make it down to my ankles. I'm on the 6th skein and it's past my butt now. Can you say butt on this forum?

Okay, you can do it!  Just remember that when you have 6 dc in that first section, and the two sections on either side of the bottom point, and the very last section, you start new 'shell sections' on the very next row.  For example, say you have the 6 dc, then on the next row you do your beginning V-st, ch 1, then dc in ch-1 sp, dc in ea of next 2 dc, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next dc, dc in ea of next 3 dc, then continue like normal. You've just begun a new shell section. Make sense?  I have noticed though, that the first & last sections begin at a different time than the two sections on either side of the point. Okay, now I've really got you confused, right? Sorry. Just do what I said earlier, and soon you'll see what I'm talking about.

Here are a couple of pics that might help you see what I'm talking about. See where the pencil is pointing? That's Row 12.  I've just started a new shell of (dc, ch 1, dc). See in the row before it how I have 6 dc in a row? Well, then in the next row (Row 12) I did the beginning V-st, ch 1, dc in ch-1 sp, dc in ea of next two dc, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next dc, dc in ea of next 3 dc... for the start of a new shell section.

Okay.  I'm going to compare these with what I did.  I guess the only way to explain what I actually did was, that I simply did another row ??????

I'll look to see the difference and decide if I am gonna frog or continue going as I overstand this.

Look in the very first section - right after your first V-st, then there's the ch-1 sp, then count how many dc you have straight in a row.

I have four (on the left) - that is with the point facing UP; now let me count the right side . . .

Here is what I have on the right side (again, point facing up):  v-stitch, dc in space, chain 1, 3 dc then another V-stitch???

Now here is how it looks overall . . .

I also notice the part of mine that will rest upon shoulders is umm, not straight like yours.
