Serena, do you use stitch markers so you can see where the beginning of each round is? It really helps me.
I started the doily, it looked harder than it is. I think blocking it will be a bear, cause there are lots of chains to work on. But, I have about 10 rounds done. Started watching a movie with my kids this a.m., so haven't worked on it much today.

MwaM, your work looks super!
TXCL, I was thinking I ought to mark and count, recount, and recount. I hope yours is going well.
Try number 3: I've just finished round 3 and all looks like it ought to!
Whoopee! I do like it when things go well.
I had trouble with
Round 5: Sl st into next ch 7 sp, which I figured out
means to put the slip stitch into the beginning of the next chain of 7. It looks like it could mean to put a slip stitch into the seventh stitch in the next chain.
Well, I had to frog a whole round five. The last time round it worked. Had to do a couple of stitches over, but that row is down and looks all right.
Round five is the round I didn't do so well on my first two tries. |

Serena ~ Hope things are working out better for you today..
I tried Magic loop ( knitting one long cable) But I kept getting a latter at one end.. I tried DPN's and losing my end yo's. So I finally got started and then it went to [yo,ssk,2tog,k1, yo.] needle 1 was ok, needle 2 was okay screwed up on needle 3, never made it to needle 4..
So I'm going to look for a pattern in crochet.. |

I ended up making this:
http://auroralcrochet.ms11.net/free/apriljewels.html
and simplified that last three rows a bit so that it came out circular.
Used Sugar'n'Creme.
I consider that my practice round.
I'll make another one and see if I can do it a bit better.
Hope your doilies are coming along nicely.
Miss Kitty, have you found a new pattern? |

| Serena the coaster pattern is pretty! I have about three rounds left on the doily. With so many chain stitches it is going really fast. |

TXCL, you're very speedy.
I've had quite a few chores this morning, so the crochet projects are sitting for a bit. |

| Miss Kitty, that is pretty! I love pineapples! I am on the next to last row. I tried working on it yesterday, but kept getting interrupted so I had to put it up. Today not sure if I will get to work on it. My nephew is supposed to be in this weekend sometime, so I have to do a little housecleaning! LOL! |

Miss Kitty, the pineapples in orange are lovely.
TXCL, you are so fast!
I visited a Craft 'n' Chat group at a Methodist church yesterday evening. Took a worsted weight lap blanket to work on. Very easy pattern, as I wanted to visit. So, my coasters are still waiting. |

Miss Kitty, after working with the steel hook, you will feel weird using a regular size one! LOL!
Well, I ended up seaming my knitted top I finished stitching, so I didn't work on the doily on Saturday. I really would like to get it done! |

Sorry to hear you are't feeling well Chris. Hope you do soon.
I have the pattern, the thread and just now need to omph to get started. I hated the smallness of the needles so I used some kind of foam stuff for kids that hardens so I made handles for all my steel needles. To keep up with the size of the needle I poked holes in the top of the handle with a tooth pick. So a size 3 has 3 holes. |

PhoenixTears, how creative you are. Hope your new handles work well.
Miss Kitty, I hope you're feeling better.
Today is full of chores, so the new round of doily attempts must wait.
