Yesterday didn't work on the doily, we are renovating our back patio. Manual labor and I am sore today. But we had five teen boys helping in the afternoon so removing the pavers is done. About 400 pavers are now in stacks in the middle of my backyard. Next is excavating so the slope is corrected, compacting, and then we have to place them all back. But today I should be able to work on it at the Tuesday Meetup.

I'm sorry you are sore TXCL, and not feeling well Miss Kitty. Miss Kitty, I meant to say that I like that ala' orange pineapple doily. It's going to be pretty.
I worked on mine a little bit last night. I thought I had at least seven more pansies to make, but I only have four. That's a lot better. :P

Tina, the reason I am sore is that I haven't worked out in over two weeks! Miss Kitty, take care, don't want you to get knocked down either.
I am on the last round of the doily. So I expect to get it finished soon. If nothing else gets in the way! LOL! |

I have the pattern, the thread and just now need to omph to get started. I hated the smallness of the needles so I used some kind of foam stuff for kids that hardens so I made handles for all my steel needles. To keep up with the size of the needle I poked holes in the top of the handle with a tooth pick. So a size 3 has 3 holes. |
That is a clever idea!
Glad to see you back, I heard you had some computer problems. I missed you! |

Somehow, I finished all my pansies. I started on the edging this morning. The joining the pansies part is going to be a bear. I'm not looking forward to it. :( I want to get it finished, though; so I can give it to my Mom.

Tina, what a beautiful Mom-present. My mother would love those pansies, too.
TXCL, I know what you mean about not working out. When I skip my exercises I really feel it. My exercises might not be much for some, but they help me a great deal. |

| I agree Serena. I have a total gym and was working out every other day until I got sick. It actually has dust on it! But, now that I'm feeling better, it is time to get back in the groove! |

Little brat! I saw him chewing on something; I couldn't imagine *what*, cuz I got everything off the floor before he was let out of his kennel. So I went over and pulled it out of his mouth. It was one of my pansies for my doily! I have them all on the coffee table in the front room (he is not allowed in that room). He must be going in there when no one is looking. The pansy is ruined. I got it out of his mouth, and put it on the table in here. It's gone now. I think he ate it. (just a pansy, not the 'whole doily', but... :P)
He's been throwing up the last three mornings. Well, I wonder why? I wonder what else he has eaten. |

TXCL, I'm impressed. Those total gym exercises look very demanding.
I do my own mixture of warm-ups from dance classes I took ages ago, an Angela Lansbury tape I really like, and Callanetics. Takes me 20 or 30 minutes, depending on how much I do. Three or four days a week, and it keeps me from getting too creaky, strengthens and tones muscles, and keeps me much more flexible and limber than I otherwise would be.
I've started walking again, which I'd gotten away from.
The gardening and house maintenance/repairs add another form of exercise. Those are definitely the most demanding.
The rain yesterday helped the flowers a lot. Too bad it makes the grass grow so much.
My next round of doilies is still waiting for me. I'm working on a lap blanket. |

MwaM and Kahud, goodness! I hope your pets are all right.
I knew that anything stringlike was dangerous for cats, but didn't know that dogs would eat crochet thread.
I wonder if some breeds do that more than others. |

Our puppy eats rocks and dirt clumps like he found the best treat on earth. :P
Kathy, our old cat used to eat my pieces of yarn I would clip the ends off. Later on when I went to throw them away I would think 'It seemed like there was more'... I would find them in the litter box later.

Well, I am finished with my doily! The pattern was easy to follow and I am going to put it on my table in my room.
So how is everyone else doing besides Tina's pansy eating pup doily?! I am so sorry to hear that. Do you think he really ate it? I know puppies chew, but to make a snack out the thread!
Serena, I ain't no Christie Brinkley! On most exercises I am only on the second incline! LOL! My kids use the top of like 6 levels. I am little and not very strong, but keep at it! I do the full count of two repetitions though, so my progress is slow but steady.
