Yes, we open our packages on the 11th, eat our ice cream (or something else we like) and post about our packages and treats!
I will be very good and not open my package until the 11th.
I'm thinking of making custard, and putting cherries on it. And probably drink tea, no surprise there.

OK Serena! I received my package today! I was very good, just put it on the dining room table!
Suzee, I mailed your package today! It should arrive by midweek next week. I sent it Priority so with the holiday I still believe it will get there on time!
For our treats, I am thinking good old fashioned Braum's ice cream, maybe neopolitan. Although chocolate is usually my fav. Braum's neopolitan's strawberry portion actually has strawberries in it! I have some mint tea, I may have that too. |

TXCL, I'm so glad your package arrived. I'll send you happy-waiting thoughts now.
Mmmm, Neapolitan sounds very nice.
A bit of menu planning rambling:
My mother used to make orange mint drink. She'd make some kind of sugar syrup with fresh mint leaves, and then mix it with freshly squeeze orange juice. It was a special treat. Mint tea does sound refreshing! We used a hand-crank ice crusher. The orange-mind drink over that crushed ice was delicious.
I've been thinking I ought to make something new, perhaps a fancy custard, or something with fruit. I've been drinking PG Tips again, and saving my box of Bewleys for special occasions. So, perhaps I'll have iced PG Tips. I sometimes put in some frozen apple juice.
Maybe I'll make gluten-free shortcakes and have some kind of frozen cherry-custard-cake. |

Boy, have I made a jumble out of this. Got it right, now. Tons of stress here...my apologies. Serena's package goes out Monday morning. It will get there on time.
I'm going to have some cherries and frozen grapes, with a banana strawberry smoothie, I think. |

Suzee, I'm sorry things have been stressful. I know about jumbles. Whatever you send is fine by me.
Your menu sounds scrumptious!

| Cherries sound relly good right now. I noticed Kroger had them for $6.00 a pound! Geez! Then I saw Tom Thumb is running them for $1.88 a pound. I'm going to run over to TT. Cherries in smoothies are really good too. I usually bribe Son#2 into pitting them so I can use them fresh in smoothies! |

Mmmm, looks as though we're on to menu planning. I'm planning on having yoghurt with frozen cherries. It's my substitute for ice cream these days. I make my own yoghurt and the frozen cherries are a special treat.
Unless I think of something else, I'll be drinking one of my usual black teas either hot or cold. If cold, then perhaps with a bit of frozen apple juice mixed in.

TXCL, with this hot, hot weather, watermelon does sound good.
I bought some this week, a little package, all nicely sliced. |

| Son#1 LOVES watermelon! He can finish one of those little seedless ones all by himself! I also love cantaloupe! |

Mmmm, cantaloupe, too. It's always a toss up which one to buy. I've been thinking of planting cantaloupes. Perhaps next year.
Today's lunch just might be watermelon and cottage cheese.
