Potholder Only Swap-Phase 4- Last one....

Miss Kitty here and I will host this swap.
Sign-up will be until July 31.
This swap will be played out in Phases.
Phase 1 : You will have until August 15 to make 1 potholder of your choice and send it to your partner that I will match you up with.
Any Pothholder will do for this part of the swap. Color of your choice.
So, lets sign-up and get this swap started!!!
We will move on to the different phases, only if you the players want too.
You do not have to do all phases.
But it will be a POS- Potholder Only Swap.
Phase 2 - sign-ups: Will be a Mystery P.O.S.
I will give out clues every 3 days for the Hot-pad. Then you can crochet it up and we will be sending it to different partners then Phase1.. We will not keep the same partners..
You will need Cotton yarn solids or milti- colored and size F or G hook ( if you crochet loose go for F, if your spot on for gauge go with G.)

Phase 3 - Sign-ups:
This Flower Hot Pad pattern will be for the next phase.
We will have sign-ups till August 31 and start the swap on September 1.
Have until September 15 to make, chat and mail out..

Phase 4 - Sign-ups
This phase with be givers choice. Just make a potholder out of the pattern of your choice and send it to your partner.
We will have sign-ups til next Wednesday the 30 of September. Then you will have til the 15 of October to mail them out.

I used a US G Hook. My opinion solid would look better.
Starting at center, ch 6. Join with sl st to form ring.
1st rnd: Ch 1, 15 sc in ring. Join with sl st in 1st sc.
2nd rnd: Ch 3 (to count as 1 dc), dc in same place as sl st, 2 dc in each st around (30 sts). Join with sl st in top st of 1st ch-3.
3rd rnd: Ch 1, sc in same place as sl st, * half dc in front loop of next st, 5 dc in front loop of next st, half dc in front loop of next st, sc in front loop of next 2 sts. Repeat from * around. Join last sc in same place as 1st sc.( You are using the front loops only in this round.)
Clue 2
4th rnd: Ch 3, dc in remaining loop of each st of rnd before last,* Dc 1 in the next backloop,2 dc in the next st.* around (45 sts). Join.
5th rnd: Ch 1, sc in same place as sl st, * half dc in front loop of next st, 5 dc in front loop of next st, half dc in front loop of next st, sc in front loop of next 2 sts. Repeat from * around. Join last sc in same place as 1st sc.
6th rnd:Ch 3, * Dc 1 in each of the next 2 backloop,2 dc in the next st.* around (60 sts). Join.
Clue 3
7th rnd: Ch 1, sc in same place as sl st, * half dc in front loop of next st, 5 dc in front loop of next st, half dc in front loop of next st, sc in front loop of next 2 sts. Repeat from * around. Join last sc in same place as 1st sc.
8th rnd: Ch 3, dc in remaining loop of each st of rnd before last,* Dc in each of the next 3 backloop, 2 dc in the next st.* around (75 sts). Join.
9th rnd: Ch 1, sc in same place as sl st, * half dc in front loop of next st, 5 dc in front loop of next st, half dc in front loop of next st, sc in front loop of next 2 sts. Repeat from * around. Join last sc in same place as 1st sc.
10th rnd:Ch 3, * Dc 1 in each of the next 4 backloop, 2 dc in the next st.* around.Join. (90sts)
This is where I stopped. If you want yours bigger just repeat the 2 rows and increase 15 sts evenly.
The back you can either make another one or I just did a plain circle and sc around the outside to join. When I sl st the first sc to the backloop of the front I chained 15 then continued to sc around then when i got back to the loop I sc in the loop to make a hanger.
This is nice. Mine is coming along well. I'm really looking forward to this swap!
