I like those, Miss Kitty.
I posted a picture of the first pair of socks I knit my husband (the ones he never wears..), under 'Accesories' ~ I thought I'd post a picture here, too. (They have been done for years, so... hope it's okay to post them here. )
Yeah, sure.. my camera works every time when I could care less if it works... But whenever I *want* it to work.... Grrr!

I like those Tina! He could wear them on the weekends if he didn't want to wear them to work. Men!

I knitted hubbie a pair of wool one for my first sock with wool-ease. Too hot!!
So I made him a pair with wool sock yarn. KP's Gloss.. Too hot!!
I'm not making anymore for him.
Miss Kitty, I am using Wool-Ease for these. The first pair was 100% wool. Oh well... He can't say I never make him anything now.

Finished the socks today. Sorry it's a kind of blurry shot. I'm just glad my camera let me take a picture and upload it. Sheesh. I'm walking on eggshells around my camera, now... what's next?
I want to start the Earl Grey socks (well technically I already did), but I'm already not sure if I can do them. It's just really vague; and not a row-by-row pattern... Has anyone else made them yet?

Great looking socks, Tina.
I'm going to print out the pattern for the Earl Grey socks, so if you need help just ask. Maybe I can "talk you though" them.
One note-when you do the short row toe or heel. I take a about 6 inch piece of contrasting yarn and use it for a running stitch marker. When you do the wrap and turn and slip the turn stitch back to the right needle lay the piece of yarn across then knit/purl the next stitch so when you are going back to increase on the short row you have it marked that the next stitch is you wrap stitch so you do have to really watch for it.
Miss Kitty was that for the Earl Grey socks? I hope not...
The pattern doesn't tell you how many stitches to put on what needle, etc... I guess it does tell you later, when you get to the heel. (I need more coffee~~ I didn't get much sleep last night.)
I hope you're feeling better Miss Kitty.
Serena, I don't trust my camera anymore. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It seems to work every time I take a picture of a project. But if I take pictures of people, it won't work. Maybe I am just going crazy.

I started the Earl Grey Socks... (Well technically I already had started casting on. Today I finished casting on, and started knitting...)
So far, so good. Thanks for offering to help me, Miss Kitty. I might get stuck.

If anyone makes the Earl Grey socks, I think there is a typo. After all the ribbing, you will work two rows of the cable pattern.... It should be: "Next Row: K1, work pattern, knit 28... work pattern, knit 27" The pattern had 27 and 26, but I don't think she added in the M1's from the previous row.

Mom w/a Motif thank for the info. I'll look into to it and change my pattern. Check out if there are anymore..
My socks are coming along.
I wish I could do the cable without the cable needle. But I just keep losing my stitches when I try. It's seem that I could work a lot faster without the cable needle..
Worked on the "with a twist" yesterday and I'm about half way though the chart. In the afternoon curled up in my chair and watched a movie. So didn't get much done.
I posted a picture of both in Wip's Wednesday..
TXCL I just 'saw' this/ it just registered what you wrote~~ I would be even more mad at him if he wore them to work! He works construction. He would totally ruin them if he wore them to work...
