I just found this website. It has great prices (same as in store)
on yarns. I just got some of the "I Love This Yarn"

I think they may be mill ends, but it doesn't say that they are.

I like that yarn, too. (Although I have never technically even used any of it..)

How would you know it's a mill end? Someone on another board I am on said WalMart carries mill ends, and I was stumped. Unless all their yarn is mill ends and it just looks like any other Red Heart yarn to me?..

Usually mill ends have no labels. The companies do not waste
their paper labels on them.

They will tell you that they are mill ends in their ads, but I do not see that anywhere at this site.

Mill ends are great, I like working with them. There is really very little difference if any.

I have actually bought yarns at WM and at HL that had tie ons in the skein.
I think that there is no way to get away from that unless you buy the really expensive yarns.

And I actually found a tie on in one of those once.

That's the Hobby Lobby site to order online.. It's from one of their warehouses..
I order from there a lot and shipping is pretty fast.

I found it both ways, but when I was on the HL site,
I do think I clicked on a link there that took me to them also
