I am so happy to report I have finished my very first sweater!  I bound off the collar last night while watching Atlanta and New Orleans play.  I will put it on later and get one of the crew to take a picture so I can post it.

WooHoo!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait to see pics, I haven't gotten brave enough yet to knit a sweater.

Pic added.  My photobucket is acting up, couldn't put in a thumbnail.  And I don't know how to resize! LOL!
Thanks everyone for the encouragement!

Oh Selena, you did wonderful job on that
Very nice and I love the color you choose.

What was the yarn you made it with?

I love it!! I love the color, too. I am going to have to look up that yarn. I just got a new Knit Picks catalogl, maybe they will have something I can use in there.   Great Job!

Kathy I used Knitpicks Wool of the Andes in Amethyst Heather.  It took just over 7 skeins.  I did some modifications to the collar, cause it looked too big.  So I didn't knit it as many rows as it said.  Now I am looking for another top down pattern cause I have another color in a deep blue I bought at the same time.
Tina, did you just get a new catalog?  What is on the cover?

Thanks!  Miss Kitty, I got the new Knitpicks yesterday.  I was going through my needles and realized I don't have any Options tips in size 7.  I must put that on my Christmas wish list!  I have some 24 inch Addi's but I like the Options so much better!

I have the bowling bag catalog, too. I am looking through it right now, getting my order ready to show hubby when he gets home...    I need to get a job to support my knitting....  I guess the Wool of the Andes is not bad. Only $16 plus shipping for 8 skeins...

Hubby said I could order yarn!     I got Wool of the Andes in 'Fairy Tale'. It looked more purple-ish online than in the catalog.  I hope it isn't too pink in real life.

Yay Tina!
Hubby's can be a nice lot when they want to be

That's not a bad price at all.
