I don't like knitting with bulky! A small item maybe but made a toddler throw (well kind of a lap robe for kids) my hands hurt and I get squinty eyed every time I look at that throw or that yarn I know its got to be me but I will not use bulky for anything bigger than a scarf or maybe a hat.
How do the rest of you feel about bulky yarn? Am I doing something wrong? Used 10 1/2 needles before someone asks
well I am almost done with this one. But have one more to do & was going to use the rest of this Homespun on it.

I would rather knit then crochet Homespun!! I found that out..
But I do like to knit with it.. I don't have any problems. Have you maybe tried different needles.. Does the yarn slide okay on the needles??
I'm doing the Round afghan with Homespun..And it's going pretty fast but it one of my UFO's right now..

I think yarn is a personal preference. I enjoy using bulky yarn. The projects just seem to fly off the needles.

Miss Kitty's got a good point. If the yarn isn't sliding very well on the needles, it would make the yarn difficult to use.

I really don't mind knitting with it. If it's a big item the only thing I don't care for is how quickly it gets heavy...that's when I'll switch to my circular needles if I can.

Tammy~ good point.. Yes, I do use circulars.. It does get heavy if it's big!!
Though I use my circular needles a lot. Even on small things.
