I am starting to make snuggles for the Snuggles project. It provides "snuggles" to put in cages and enclosures at animal shelters. This is a great way to use your leftover yarns...even those small pieces that are too small for grannie daughters.

This is a worthwhile project. My local shelter accepts blankets
but is not part of the Snuggles. What type of yarn do you use?

I use mostly WW but have used rug yarn too when I find it on sale

Rug yarn. I was wondering what I was going to do with that box and bag my aunt gave me this summer. I'll bet that would use it up quicker than making actual rugs. There aren't any cool colors, but I thought I could use it for something. I think these would work.

the rug yarn does wash up better too and last longer.
