but it is a good idea as everyone sees us having fun and doing whatever it is that flips our switch, and we end up with something useful or beautiful, for ourselves, a gift or donation.
There are lots of people that would like to learn to do these things and this K (C) in public things could help them connect with someone to learn & become friends.

I don't knit, but I crochet in public all the time.
I've never received anything but kind remarks
about it. I'll have to see if I can get together with
some of my friends on that Saturday to knit/crochet
while our kids play at the park. Fun for everyone!
