I have the baby blanket finished for the baby set I need by mid Nov, have one wristwarmer started for the 3 pair I need before Christmas (the owner of Beaners wants them for her Daughters) and still doing scarves in between other things.....
The baby set will be blanket, booties, mittens (baby mitts have no thumbs so really easy  ), hat, and a sacque or sweater in a soft green.
I am doing a knit class at a church in town, every other Weds Aug through Oct. A lady donated a big box of yarn to the church. I am doing scarves, hats etc from what the class doesn't use then the church can give them out or whatever.
Then every Thurs is my fun nite out.... I go to Beaners Coffee Shop about 6p and knit till about 8:30 - 9p. I am the unofficial greeter on Thurs nites. There is supposed to be a knit group but I have been alone all summer. It is a very friendly & comfortable place and gives me the opportunity to get out for a bit and to hopefully encourage others to do knit or crochet.
I don't know anyone to ask for donations but Sophia & I are going to walk in the Humane Society "Strut Your Mutt" Sept 8th. I am going to wear a Beaner's Tshirt, so am doing it for exercise, for Sophia & I to do some socializing and to advertize for Beaners. They allowed me to put a flyer about the knit group up in the store and I went there for 4 hrs for World Wide Knit In Public Day Aug 9th.... made 2 cloths and gave them to the two ladies working that day.
Yes, I definitely have a serious case of knititis but love it. Last nite chatted with one lady about dogs and with another about knitting. Ya never know - I also carry our site addy with me  yeahhhhh crochetmania I LOVE the bingo every mo. I visit every day even if I don't have time or take time to post. You are alllllll great   have a good day
