Mom w/a Motif

Weeell... mine isn't green, but that's the name of the shrug. I did look for 'green' yarn, though. When I couldn't find the exact color I needed (at the right price for our budget)...

Here is the first sleeve (which is now sewn on to the sweater):

I am making it to go with this skirt (although it will go with a lot more, too.):

I am on the last sleeve, and almost done with it. I can't wait. I have been working on this for about a year and a half. Almost two year, actually. (I think it was second sleeve syndrome...)

That is crochet, right? That is really very pretty.
What is the yarn you used? I can't see it real good, but it looks like
Lion Brand.

Yup, it's crochet!

The yarn is Lion brand, Micro Spun. I had four skeins given to me in a swap, so that's what I used. (I did have to go buy some more, I think I bought two more...)

I have about one and a half left, though. So I probably only needed five? The book(let?) I got the pattern in is 'Crochet Shrugs' by Leisure Arts.

I have the second sleeve finished. Same gauge, I checked both sleeves. Why is the second sleeve shorter?

The first sleeve seems softer, too. Maybe it will stretch out?

Ugh. I guess this teaches me to not let a project sit over time so you forget what you were doing, what hook size you used, etc... It says 'F' hook, but I had a d hook in the bag. I remember using a smaller hook than it said. (Microspun is a tad bit heavier than the yarn that is called for...)
