Well after a one step forward EIGHT steps backward day; I decided I was DONE with everything, and I was just going to crochet! This is the result. I made these two hot pads. I didn't use any certain pattern. Someone was making a spiral afghan out of scraps (on another board), so.... I looked at two different tutorials ? online and tried to figure out how to do the two colors... I just did my own thing for the back. I was going to take a better picture, but.... I just haven't gotten around to it yet. 
Oh, I meant to say I saw some cute 'peppermint' towels at Walgreens, and I am going to go buy a couple to go with each hot pad for a gift.
