Just a FYI for any Texans that may be interested! I am going on Friday mainly just to pet yarn!

| There is supposed to be a vendor that has some unique crochet hooks in the small sizes like you use for thread. My purse may not open the entire time, but I do want to see what is being made in the area. The meetup group is going, so that should be fun! Also, noticed on Ravelry there are people coming that belong to that forum. We have nametags, maybe I should put my TXCL name on mine too! LOL! |

Well, an update! The DFW Fiber Fest was so overwhelming! The yarns, the yarns, the yarns! I had a great time touching! I was not able to buy yarns, I did get some tools and kits. I took some of my cat, Turbinado's hair to have spun, and that was so interesting! I had never seen yarn spun before! Anyhow, I got about two feet of kitty hair spun into yarn. Kitty imortalized! She does cat and dog hair. The vendor name was Spinning Straw Into Gold. It's in the original link.
I saw some handworked wood tools, a handmade bead company, a ceramic ball holder vendor(those were so pretty!), a couple of LYSs booths. Alpaca rovings? Where the coat has been cut but not spun? Some beautiful hand dyed yarns. I went back today, dragged Dh with me! Oh he had a LOT of fun, standing there watching me Drool!
Anyway, I got two beaded knitted kits, some needles 0000, a ceramic mug. Then we went to Half Priced Books and I bought a couple of knitting books for less than $5.00. So, I am a happy camper tonight! |

I'm glad you got to go. I've heard the Fiber Fests are amazing. Just visiting the spinning guild here was fascinating.
Great find on the books, too! |

| The spinning was fascinating. It is amazing to think of people doing that way back. It is really time intensive! |
