I would like to trade three balls of DMC Cordonnet size 100, color white, made in France.

When I started crocheting, I was so amazed at the lace work, that I bought this before I realized how many years it would take to be good enough to make things out of thread this thin.  Size ten is as thin as I can work.

I would like size 10 or 5 thread of equal quality, in a pale color.

Thanks very much!

These are the two specialty thread sources I know about:

Oh goodness!  Size 100?  I probably can't even SEE size 100! I agree with how beautiful fine lace crochet is.  I wonder what size hook you would use with 100 thread?

This chart states a size 14 for thread size 100.

So does this one:

I can hardly see the ends of the hooks on those.

TXCL, and here I was thinking this thread might be your sort of material!

The smallest hook I have is an 11 and I don't remember if I  have ever used it!  All the steel hooks I have belonged to my grandmother, so she must have used finer threads at some point. I am pretty sure the smallest thread I have used is a 30.

I'm glad to have some of the old steel hooks as well.  I bought a set of the new ones a few years ago and found them flimsy and hard to work with.

I've discovered that size 10 is small enough for me, and I often use it doubled.
