I haven't worked on squares this week, but I have the project bag sitting on the couch!

Some of my yarns are coming in, I received the charcoal grey today,
and my black and white yarns are in transit (UPS).
Tracking says that they are due to arrive on tuesday.

Still finishing up on the goodies for the new baby and potholders for the swap. I am fixing to work on an order for scrubbies today. I finally got hubby to get me some nylon netting cut up into strips

Shame on me, I put him to work on his day off

Has anyone made any squares yet?
I may not be able to do these now and wanted to post so all would know.

I am starting to get some orders now for the holidays and may not have much time left over to do these. I am still working on the baby blankets too.
I will try and see what I can make of these, but not sure I can right now.

Hey Selena, I started on one of the black and white checks squares tonight and mine is coming out 9 1/2 inches wide.
I am using the G hook and a worsted weight yarn.

What am I doing wrong?

I just read back that yours are coming out 9 1/4 squares.

Should we all be doing them that big too? I am going to try a smaller hook
size, but they will feel stiff, won't they?

I switched to an F hook!

I have one almost finished

I remembered the TLC that I got from you (I kept that yarn

and I just got some RH in black

so I have the same for my squares.

I will be making some of the checker flag squares in these too, so they will work good together
with yours when they are joined.
When I did this one in these yarns and the F hook, it is coming out the right size now

Question: Whoever is going to join these, do we just leave off the last rnd
so that they can complete them all with the same stitch count?

That would make them easier for them to join the squares together.

Well, I finished the one and mine is still to big, even with the F hook.
It's 9x9 1/4
I have tried to make this one smaller but I just can't crochet it any tighter.
I haven't even put on the border.

I will send this one if whoever joins them thinks they can still use it.
I just can't make the check one with this yarn any smaller
