Okay, I don't think I would do it.. You have to sew the top and all the squares together.. But it is pretty.
I think it would be fun to do a little along in the evenings, it looks simple enough. Can't you knit over the ends as you go and would that make for less ends to weave in at the end Miss Kitty

The first 3 or 4 stitches knit with both the working yarn and the end. Then you have your ends weaved in so you don't have to weave them in afterwards. The bulk with the 2 threads are not noticeable when you are done.. You will still have to weave the end end in..
