It's cold in the evenings now, as well as in the mornings.  Am needing to use the furnace a bit, as well as the space heaters.

It's the time of year when living farther south looks quite appealing.

Soup is on the menu again, and warm things for almost every meal.

It's great weather for walking, but when sitting, brrrrrrrr.

Sending you all warm, cheery thoughts!

It's that way here now, and the leaves are all finally turning and falling.
I have raked 6 times and it looks like I am in for at least 4 more rakings.
These chilly mornings and evenings are a sign of things to come.

Oh, KH, I hope the trees don't look like that photo until the last week of January.

Yes, at least four more rakings here, too.

Me too Serena, or maybe wait on up into february, LOL!

The leaves are falling here today like snow. It is really breezy.
Good thing though, a lot of my leaves are blewing off down the street this time

The trees look pretty, but they do make a mess.  There are times I miss living in the desert.

We have leaves everywhere - on top of the bushes and filling in along the foundation (maybe they will help keep the cold out some <not!>)
Today is to be low 60s tomorrow mid 60s then looks like it will start going down again.
I got Sophia a down jacket with a pocket on the back and the hood is fur trimmed. That was her BD gift.doesn't cover her as well as the sweaters but she loves prancing around for everyone in it.
We are soooo good at hybernating I really wouldn't go out from Dec till the end of Mar if I didnt have to.
Well the sun is out and you Ladies all have a good day - today!    Tomorrow will come fast enough.

We are having lots of wind and rain this week.  There was snow in the mountains before it decided to rain on us.  Glad it's in the mountains and not here.  We've already had a few 25 degree nights!  YUCK!

I can not wait for springtime.  It's my favorite time of the year.
I wish I had time to work on a couple of afghans that need put together that would keep me warm.

It's been in the upper 70's lower 80's here last week. In the 50's at night.
Had Hubbie put the big blanket on the bed. He just piles it up in the middle of the bed. He sleeps just with the sheet on in the winter. Me gots to have a pile of blankets on me.

Oh yes, winter is on the way, to be sure!  Although it's beautiful here today! It's been pretty cold in the evenings and the mornings, so I'm wondering...is it spring yet?

Cool here...cottonwoods turning bright gold along the Bosque & Rio Grande.  Lots of Canadian Geese there.  So doggone dry and the valley has a slight haze most mornings from the woodsmoke.

I love Fall.  Always have.  Miss being in Colorado for holidays many many years ago.  Wish we could live in the mountains or by the ocean.  :)

Suzee, it sounds pretty there.  My maple was really a beautiful dark gold for a few days and then dropped its leaves all of a sudden.  The oaks and the sweet gums are just starting to lose the leaves.

I sometimes think the fulltime RVers have the right idea, going wherever it's pretty.

I'm switching to winter meals, wearing socks all the time, and using the space heaters.

Yesterday afternoon was quite warm, was nice to take a little walk.
