I get bored easily so i have been experimenting with different stitches and frogging an awful lot but learning heaps. Please tell me someone else here is doing something loomy. I am making a bag to felt and started off trying to make the cheveron stitch but made a mistake and after frogging decided i liked the effect the mistake was giving me. So now iam doing K3P3 all the way around the yellow KK. Keeping in mind the odd number of pegs so that as i go around its giving me a swirl effect. I am hoping it will felt and look different again when i am finished. How about you guys???

I have the loom set, but I've only made a couple
of hats so far. I haven't experimented with it
much yet.
I can't wait to see what you've come up with
though. |

Well have finished the bag have to chuck it in the washing machine to felt now. Unfortunately i dont have a camera so i can't share any pics which is frustrating. It took 4 balls of wool. What you call worsted there pure wool so it will felt. I made a drawstring and a shoulder handle and 3 roses out of that. So was good value. |

Well i felted it and it felted down a bit more than i was expecting as i have a front loading machine so once you shut the door you cant open it again. The swirl effect has disapeared but it still looks good. Now to line it and i have decided to put bamboo handles on it and use 1 of the roses i felted as the catch and the drawstring will make a loop to go over it now instead. I also folded down the top 1 1/2 inch of the bag as i felt it was to high . So my experiment is evolving. Mistakes are just a bump in the road sometimes the detour can be more interesting than you think. Have a go!
